Scale

The Sherman Crab was a British mine-clearing tank with a rotating drum of chains mounted in front. As the drum spun, the chains beat the ground and detonated mines ahead of the tank.

Crabs served with the 79th Armoured Division as part of Hobart's Funnies. They cleared paths on D-Day beaches and through minefields across Northwest Europe.

An M4A4 Sherman fitted with the Crab flail drum and support arms.
