Sherman M4A3E2 Jumbo with 76mm Gun - WWII US Army Assault Tank

The M4A3E2 Jumbo was a heavily up-armored assault Sherman, with extra armor plates and a thick new turret. Only 254 were built, and they were used to lead attacks into the strongest German defenses.

Jumbos originally carried the 75mm gun, but many were rearmed in the field with the 76mm gun for better anti-tank performance. They served in the battles of late 1944 and 1945.

The heavily armored M4A3E2 Jumbo armed with the longer 76mm gun.
