Sd.Kfz. 234/1 Eight-Wheeled Armored Car (2cm) - WWII German Army Reconnaissance

The Sd.Kfz. 234 series was the finest German armored car of the war, a fast eight-wheeled design with a monocoque hull and an air-cooled Tatra diesel engine suited to hot climates. The 234/1 carried a 2cm autocannon and a machine gun in an open turret with folding mesh screens.

Entering service in 1944, the 234/1 equipped reconnaissance battalions on the Western and Eastern Fronts. Its long range and speed made it ideal for scouting ahead of the armored divisions in the final campaigns.
