Sd.Kfz. 6/3 Diana 7.62cm Pak 36(r) Tank Destroyer - WWII German Afrika Korps

The Diana was an improvised tank destroyer built in 1941 by mounting a captured Soviet 76.2mm field gun, rechambered as the 7.62cm Pak 36(r), on the Sd.Kfz. 6 halftrack behind a tall armored shield.

Only a handful were built, and they were sent to North Africa, where their powerful gun proved highly effective against British tanks in the desert. The tall silhouette made them easy to spot, and none survived the campaign.

The Sd.Kfz. 6/3 Diana with its tall armored gun housing and long 7.62cm gun on the 5-ton halftrack chassis.
