Marder III Ausf.M Sd.Kfz.138 Tank Destroyer - WWII German Army

The Ausf.M was the final and most refined Marder III, with the engine moved to the middle of the 38(t) chassis and the fighting compartment placed at the rear. This lowered the profile and made it easier for the crew to load and fire the 7.5cm PaK 40.

Built in larger numbers than the earlier versions, the Ausf.M served on all fronts from 1943 onward. Its low silhouette made it an effective ambush weapon.
