Scale

The SU-76M mounted the versatile ZiS-3 76mm gun in an open-topped compartment on a lengthened T-70 light tank chassis. Cheap and easy to build, it became the second most produced Soviet armored vehicle of the war after the T-34.

Crews gave it rough nicknames for its thin armor, but the SU-76M was valued for infantry support and its light weight let it cross ground heavier tanks could not. It fought from 1943 right through to the fall of Berlin.

An SU-76M with its open-topped fighting compartment and ZiS-3 76mm gun.
