The CTMS-1TBI was a light tank built by Marmon-Herrington, a firm better known for converting trucks to all-wheel drive. It was designed for export, chiefly to the Netherlands for service in the Dutch East Indies.

Japan overran the East Indies before most tanks could be delivered, and many of the completed vehicles were diverted elsewhere, with some used by US forces for training and others reaching Dutch units in Surinam. It is a rare oddity that makes a striking what-if piece.

A Marmon-Herrington CTMS-1TBI light tank with its compact riveted hull and turret, a rarely modeled subject.
