Fallschirmjager FlaK 30 20mm Anti-Aircraft Gun with Crew - WWII German

The 20mm FlaK 30 was Germany's standard light anti-aircraft gun, and in the last months of the war its rapid fire was turned against Allied infantry and light vehicles as often as aircraft.

In March 1945, Operation Plunder sent the British and American armies across the Rhine at Wesel - and among the defenders waiting for them were the Fallschirmjager of the German 1st Parachute Army. No longer used as airborne troops, the paratroopers had become elite ground infantry, fighting in their distinctive splinter-camouflage smocks and rimless helmets to the very end.

A FlaK 30 on its two-wheeled carriage with three crew - gunner, loader and spotter.
