Panzer IV Ausf. E Medium Tank - WWII German 1941
The Ausf. E added bolt-on armor plates to the front and sides and a new commander's cupola moved forward on the turret. Built in 1940 and 1941, it fought in the Balkans, North Africa and the opening of Operation Barbarossa in Russia.
The Panzerkampfwagen IV was the only German tank to stay in production from before the war until its end. Around 8,500 were built, and it fought on every front, growing from a short-barreled infantry support tank into the backbone of the Panzer divisions.
Captures the up-armored hull with its appliqué plates and the revised turret with the short 75mm gun.
