Renault FT-17 Light Tank with Commander - Cannon or MG Turret - WWII French
The Renault FT of 1917 was the first modern tank, with a fully rotating turret and the engine at the rear. By 1940 hundreds still served with French units guarding airfields and rear areas, and many more fought in Poland, Finland and the Spanish Civil War.
In May and June 1940 the French Army faced the German Blitzkrieg with some of the best tanks in the world - the Char B1 bis, Somua S35 and a host of innovative designs - but was undone by outdated doctrine and the speed of the German advance. French soldiers fought hard at Stonne, Gembloux, Dunkirk and along the Weygand Line before the armistice.
The classic FT hull with tail skid, with your choice of the 37mm cannon turret or the Hotchkiss machine-gun turret, plus a commander figure.
