Tiger I Early Production - WWII German Heavy Tank - 3D Printed Wargaming Miniature
When the Tiger I first appeared in late 1942, nothing the Allies fielded could match it. Its thick frontal armor shrugged off most anti-tank rounds, and its 8.8cm KwK 36 gun could destroy enemy tanks at ranges they couldn't reply from.
Early production Tigers saw their first combat near Leningrad and in Tunisia, where they quickly earned a fearsome reputation. These early vehicles are recognizable by their drum-style cupola, smoke dischargers and the original running gear — the classic Tiger as it first appeared on the battlefield.
This model captures the early Tiger's boxy hull, the massive 88mm gun and mantlet, the early commander's cupola, and the famous interleaved road wheels with full track detail.
