The Sd.Kfz. 251 carried German Panzergrenadiers into battle on every front. Over 15,000 were built in more than twenty variants, making it the most numerous German armored vehicle of the war.

The Ausf D, introduced in 1943, simplified the earlier design with flat angular armor plates that were faster to build — the classic shape most people picture when they think of a German halftrack.

This model features the Ausf D's angular armored body, the forward machine gun shield, the open troop compartment and full front-wheel and track detail.
