The Panzer III Ausf M — a refined and battle-ready evolution of the proven Ausf L. Produced in 1942-43 with approximately 250 built, the Ausf M introduced deep wading equipment for river crossing operations, a simplified exhaust system, and continued the long 50mm KwK 39 L/60 gun that gave the Panzer III its mid-war bite.

The Ausf M served on the Eastern Front during some of the most decisive campaigns of the war — the battles around Kharkov and the buildup to the massive armored clash at Kursk in 1943. A capable and versatile tank that represents the Panzer III at its operational peak before the focus shifted to heavier armor.
