One of the most unusual vehicles of the war, the aerosan was a propeller-driven sled built to race across frozen lakes and deep snow where no wheeled vehicle could go. The Red Army used thousands of them during the Winter War against Finland and on the Eastern Front.

The NKL-16 served as a transport, ambulance and liaison vehicle, skimming over snow at speed. It's a guaranteed conversation piece for any winter-themed Soviet force.

This model captures the NKL-16's enclosed body with window ports, the rear-mounted propeller and engine, and the four skis.
